10th February 2007 Windsurfing: Hayling Island Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F5 up Surf / Sea State: Waves! Air Temperature: 9 Sea Temperature: 9 Weather: Sunny with squalls Max Speed: Distance Covered: Met Juan down at the far end of Hayling beach. Sun came out, wind came up, time to go!! Head-high waves, spent lots of time getting over those, did some great jumps and some crap/amusing ones. Good ones I actually landed, sailed out in the following lull. Bad/amusing ones I turned downwind (good), pulled my feet up and sheeted in (bad, unless looping), which resulted in digging the nose in and over the front I went! Very good session, except my feet got really cold early on and after about 90m when the wind got up to about F6 both Juan and I stopped. He was on a 6.2, so not surprising really... Astounded at how much better I am, but lots more aggression required. I worry too much about cold, getting back etc., hmm, this will improve and in fact has, so time, baby, time... |
